Rotary Dinner

Tonight I went to a fabulous Rotary dinner where I met some
new people who were duly impressed with my French abilities. The lawyer sitting next to me said rather frankly that he didn't even
hear an accent. That's very nice of him to say but I know I've still
got PLENTY of progress to make in the language.

Food and drink:
Kyr, vegetable tart as an appetizer, colin (white fish)
in a "sauce d'estragon", and tartelette aux poires (pear tart) for
dessert. Red or white wine was served depending on one's preferences; After dinner
espresso (simply called café here) was served. One of the Rotarians
then treated everyone to a marvelous champagne as a manner of celebrating the birth of his first grandchild.

For the automobile-minded: My laptop is having big problems which is why I haven't yet posted pix from the Paris Auto Show. They will come soon...I promise.
